Vanessa Heart's Bio
Vanessa Heart started modeling when she was 17 years old! "It was my love of the glamour of the 50's and the 80's that inspired me to pursue modeling. I try to incorporate an emotion or an attitude in my work. My love for drama and acting has taught me that the camera isn't just taking a photo, but peering into a part of me." Vanessa Heart started Plus Size modeling in 2006 after taking a 2 year break from modeling professionally to concentrate on projects behind the camera(read below to find out what those are!), but since she joined the Plus Size modeling community she has been hosting events, modeling in runway shows and featured in fashion spreads all over the United States.

What are those projects behind the camera you ask? Well, Vanessa Heart has an A.A.S in Visual Communications with an emphasis in Multimedia. She has been working full time in the field of Graphic Design/ Marketing and she also runs two of her own companies on the side. Blazing Heart Productions is her web and graphic design company and she also has her own line of hair accessories called Heartbreaker Hairpieces! Vanessa is also a published writer. Her first articles were seen in Varla Magazine where she had a featured music column titled "Nessa's Night Out", which cataloged her adventures with a variety of local bands and musicians. Several years later, her writings were once again seen in Image Magazine in which Vanessa Heart had landed the style columnist position. Her articles can be seen in the above "writing" section. In 2004, she hosted several shows on Mania TV and interviewed several bands on air such as KMFDM and Total Chaos. In 2006, fashion designer Rachel White and Vanessa Heart started Blonde Brigade Apparel, and soon after she started her own line of rockabilly/psychobilly inspired hair accessories called HEARTBREAKER HAIRPIECES, which are availible for sale at www.heartbreakerhairpieces.com Vanessa also coordinates events! In 2006, she organized and ran the Blonde Brigade Apparel & Heartbreaker Hairpieces Fashion Show at the Ghost Train Christmas Concert. This included hiring all of the models, hair & makeup stylists and overseeing the style of the show as well as coordinating the music for the runway show. Vanessa Heart is one of those rare individuals who never gives up and works hard for what she loves. She is an inspiration to many and she hopes that women everywhere understand that anything is possible with a little dedication, sweat, tears, and mascara.
