Um.... No... but I can do the hand jive, baby.

You have your own column at Varla Magazine. What do you enjoy most about the job?
Well, I wanted to do it. Cause I noticed good bands weren't getting any publicity, while Britney spears is in every damn magazine. But I enjoy meeting new people. And keeping a voice alive for my kind of music. Varla Magazine is amazing. They embody so many great things. Strong women who can rock and probably kick your ass. The magazine is run by women and it shows that girls can play rough too. Plus, it is a magazine dedicated to underground music, culture, and bands. Typically featuring alot of psychobilly, punk rock, rockabilly, glam rock, metal. All the shit I dig!

You are currently in a TV commercial. Could you tell us a little more about this?
Hahaha... yeah, I was working at this nightclub and a guy was gonna be shooting a tattoo commercial and so I agreed to be in it. It's pretty funny, I had like a 2 second spot. Just an image of me looking at some flash artwork. And practically everyone in Colorado springs has come up to me and asked me about it.
Total strangers... "Ahhh... your in that tattoo commercial aren't ya" I find it amusing. Since I modeled for years and I didn't get noticed at all till my two second debut.

Who killed Marilyn?
Awww... shit. So many theories on that. Some say the maid, some say the Kennedy's. Some
say it was the mob or some sort of underground conspiracy. I think it was something to do with
the Kennedy's. Because the night before Marilyn threatened to make the relationship public when
Bobby tried to break up with her. Next thing you know she "supposedly" over dosed on sleeping pills
and champagne.... which is retarded... cause when they did the autopsy... they didn't find enough sleeping pills to cause an overdose.

Since you’re a beautiful woman in the public eye, do you have to put up with a bunch of creepy weirdos?
Hahahahaha... yeah, but I live in a shitty army town. So usually it's army weirdos. Which are totally different. I can handle the goth creeps and all them.. but army guys freak me out...hahahaha.

Why did you want to pursue a career in modeling?
In the beginning... it was for fun and sort of an accomplishment to do it. I used to be very overweight and when I drooped 50lbs and was recruited to do some modeling it was very nice. In the beginning... no one even knew I had modeled a thing. I rarely tell people... cause it's sort of a personal thing.

So you used to be the chubby chick at school?!

Oh yeah. 175 lbs by the age of 12. I was the fat girl that everyone picked on. But for many years I tried to turn my life around. I guess around 15 I finally slimmed down.

Have you ever run into anyone that used to pick on you during your childhood since you took up modeling?
I have had a few guys from high school see me and be totally shocked. "Oh my god vanessa, you got totally hot!". Shit like that. It's a sweet sort of revenge.
All of a sudden all the jocks that used to give me shit and call me weird, suddenly want my phone number.

What do you do for a living?
Well, right now I am on my last semester of college. Studying design and multimedia. But I just got a new job working at a neat little nightclub called "The Underground", which used to be a morgue, I guess in the 1800's or so. I work in a small "tunnel bar" which I nicknamed the dungeon. I've only been their a few weeks... and already shit has randomly fallen off of selves and shit. I think it's kinda cool though.

What are some of your hobbies?
I drink too much. I love to party. Sometimes, I write poetry. I listen to alot of music and watch alot of movies and I am a total internet hog when I have the time. I usually work and go to school alot. So free time, is spent on drinking or laying around.

Most embarrassing moment?
Hmmm... I don't know if I have any good ones? Ummm... went to take a sip off of a drink and the straw went up my nose. That was pretty funny. Drink of choice? Hmmmm? So hard? I guess Bloody Mary's, Cosmopolitans, Long Island Ice Teas, and Tequila.

You cover all sorts of model styles – do you have fun playing dress up?
Oh yes, I really want to do a Victorian or medieval Gothic type shoot. I think it would rock... something very haunted and ghostly.
